After a naughty Saturday night, Sunday afternoon at a festival is prime soul-saving time and DJ/Record Shop owner Mister Tooley is on hand to provide the necessary salvation.
Expect a righteous mix of gospel and secular sounds on original vinyl, with original hand clapping, foot-stomping spirituals bumping up against the coolest R&B, Rockabilly, Mambo and Jump Blues boppers: the sanctified soul of Sister Rosetta Tharpe meets the sassy R&B of Big Maybelle.
Since 2013 Mister Tooley been one of the resident DJs in the Deluxe Diner at Glastonbury Festival / Shangri La field. “The most twisted blues and rock n’ roll records you’ll hear anywhere” says Phil Armstrong, owner of the Diner. He is also has an annual spot at WOMAD world music festival and regularly plays at Beatherder and numerous other gatherings.
Praise the Lord and pass the Bloody Marys!
